About

The 32-piece band of masked chaos invites you to dissolve the performer/audience divide and melt into the bedlam, that is the disorienting power of itchy-O. The itchy-O Marching Band (IOMB) is a Denver-based percussion-centered electronic marching band. itchy-O brings a sophisticated savage sound and the sheer ecstasy of instruments untethered and running free. With a driving drum corps battery, Taiko drummers, an arsenal of electronics including synthesizers, theremin, vocoders, and many other special devices, the IOMB completely engulfs and immerses an audience from every angle in a pounding electric bog of music, ephemera and spectacle. The masked and hive-minded IOMB is waging war on predictable mediocrity with their blind-siding-style performances which feature an artfully hazardous Chinese lion, a troupe of sensuous dancing provocateurs, fog, strobes, sequins, sweat and fury.

Itchy-O has played with David Byrne and St. Vincent’s band, performed at Riot Fest with Iggy Pop, Matt & Kim, Naked Raygun, and Public Enemy. They’ve opened for DEVO, Beats Antique, The Melvins, March Fourth, the Extra Action Marching Band, the Warlock Pinchers, headlined and sold-out many other shows. Itchy-O has been featured on Colorado Public Radio, performed for the Biennial of the Americas Kick-off Party, ScoutMob’s Halloween Bash in Atlanta, Westword’s Artopia, conferences such as Adobe’s Effective UI, and toured the US three years in a row.

ABOUT MUNLY AND THE LUPERCALIANS

Facebook:  Munly and The Lupercalians | Facebook

This is the true history of Lupercalia, from the Scarebeast's perspective:

Am I sorry to tell you that you have been mis-informed? No, that’s not stuffed into my nature. But, you have been mis-informed. Some fancy boy thought to sugar-coat this story of Petr and his people. He told it with flutes and horns and …violins. But, the true version has more of a pessimistic sound. He failed to even tell you that this is the pre-history of Lupercalia, Petr’s people came here and knocked down trees, smoothed the dirt, and even re-routed rivers. And they also made me, the Scarebeast, though now I’m the Scarewulf. I’m supposed to frighten off all their fears, like Doder, and the Wulf. It would be best if I could have scared off Petr’s people, starting with Petr that little ball of hate. Crying that he was all alone so he thought he would save his Grandfater from the Bedlam, now he knows that’s where he belongs. And now that Grandfater is more of a child than Petr. And they want me to scare off these animals? The Bird jibber jabbers all day and leaves his used food on my shoulder, the Cat uses me as a scratching post, and the damn Duk is too fat and slow for either. Then they send these Hunters to do my job for me, the Nimrods… The Wulf is probably the only decent beast here, at least he is honest. Basically all these folk are molested by shame, so do they really have the right to tell you the true history of Petr & The Wulf?

ABOUT DJ BABYSHOE

Facebook:  DJ Babyshoe | Facebook

Babyshoe (Eric Talledo) cut his teeth listening to vinyl, dreaming about worlds built around the power of music and the people producing it. Ever evolving with his three decade long love affair with music, babyshoe has more recently settled into his location in Denver; maximizing musical opportunities within this lush community to connect them to a pure, direct line to the underground culture of music that fuels him.  Starting in 2012, "babyshoe presents" launched, which has become a series of events showcasing local talents in the electronic underground scene. This in turn led to a regular

monthly guest spot in birdy. magazine, a new local publication that features the best in local culture and art. In April 2013 babyshoe co-founded shoeboxx recordings with musical partner Real Cosby, which currently holds 10 producers on the roster from various locations around the world. September 2013 the MOCD music blog broke ground, which is a daily publication of sound collections co-founded by babyshoe and other meticulous friends of music.
